Homecoming Dance FAQs

EJC Homecoming Dance FAQs

Q: What is Homecoming?

A: Homecoming is an annual celebration with events traditionally around the Junior Eagles Football Homecoming game.

Q: What is the purpose of a Homecoming Dance?

A:  The Homecoming Dance serves as a fundraiser for the Junior Eagles Cheer program. We utilize this event to recognize our Football and Cheer athletes. Etowah Junior Cheer Homecoming Dance is NOT a school sponsored event. Please do not contact the ET Booth office.  Feel free to email us with any questions: EtowahJuniorEaglesCheer@gmail.com

Q:  Who can attend the Homecoming Dance?

A:  The Etowah Junior Cheer Homecoming Dance is open to all 6th, 7th and 8th grade students currently enrolled at ET Booth, those 6th, 7th and 8th grade homeschooled students currently residing in the ET Booth District and/or 6th, 7th and 8th grade private school students currently residing in the ET Booth district.

Q: When is the Homecoming Dance?

A:  Homecoming is Friday, October 6th from 7:00-9:30 PM. Tickets will go on sale on Saturday, September 9th at 10:00 AM.

Q: How much are tickets?

A: The cost for a ticket to the 2023 Homecoming Dance is $35 per ticket. Ticket price will vary from year to year based on the venue and other costs associated with organizing the dance.

Q: Where can/How do we purchase tickets?

A: You can purchase tickets using the GoFan app or going to www.gofan.co. Search for Etowah Junior Eagles Cheer in the search tool and pick the general admission ticket. The best way to get that information is to follow us on Facebook and Instagram or check EtowahJuniorCheer.com regularly.

Q: How many tickets are available?

A: ET Booth has a student body of over 1700 kids.  While we would love nothing more than to see each and every student attend our Homecoming Dance, we do have to limit the number of tickets sold. This number varies every year depending on venue, volunteers, insurance liability and funds available.

Q:  Why do you limit the number of tickets sold?

A:  We take many factors into consideration when we set the limit for ticket sales.  The number one priority is the safety of the students attending.  Our Volunteer to student ratio plays a big part in the available tickets each year.

Q: Why is this event not at the school?

A: Etowah Junior Cheer Homecoming Dance is NOT a school sponsored event. Please do not contact the ET Booth office.  Feel free to email us with any questions: EtowahJuniorEaglesCheer@gmail.com

Q: Who do I contact with questions regarding the homecoming dance?

A: Etowah Junior Cheer organizes and hosts the event.  All questions and concerns should be directed to us at EtowahJuniorEaglesCheer@gmail.com

Q: How do I find information about the upcoming Homecoming Dance?

A: Etowah Junior Cheer has a facebook and instagram page.  We suggest following us on both platforms to receive up to date information.  Please do not contact the ET Booth office.  Feel free to email us with any questions: EtowahJuniorEaglesCheer@gmail.com

Q: Will ET Booth send information home with my student?

A: No.  This is NOT a school sponsored event.  ET Booth has no information and they will direct you to contact Etowah Junior Cheer for additional information. Please do not contact the ET Booth office.  Feel free to email us with any questions: EtowahJuniorEaglesCheer@gmail.com

Q: Can I volunteer for the Homecoming Dance?

A: Absolutely! We love our volunteers. When we start planning the current year’s dance, we open the volunteers to our cheerleader parents and then our football parents. We will then post our volunteer information on our facebook and instagram pages. Again, we suggest following both for up to date information.

Q: When do tickets go on sale?

A:  Tickets go on sale on Saturday, September 9th at 10:00 am and can be purchased using the GoFan app or going to www.gofan.co.  We will socially post the dance information as soon as we have it available. Please follow us on facebook and instagram for up to date information.

Q: Can my student purchase a ticket at school?

A: No. This is NOT a school sponsored event.  As such, we do our best to keep it separate. Please do not contact the ET Booth office.  Feel free to email us with any questions: EtowahJuniorEaglesCheer@gmail.com

Q: Tickets are Sold Out…now what?

A:  Unfortunately, once tickets are sold out, we will not be releasing more tickets for sale.  We suggest reaching out to other facebook groups and friends to see if someone will not be using theirs.  Again, ticket sales are limited and this event does sell out every year.  Buy your tickets as soon as they are available as we will NOT be releasing more tickets.  EJC does not take responsibility for the validity of any transferred ticket.  Make certain you know the source you are purchasing from. Unfortunately people will have gotten scammed out of money while attempting to purchase tickets.. Please do not contact the ET Booth office.  Feel free to email us with any questions: EtowahJuniorEaglesCheer@gmail.com

Q: Can my student buy a ticket at the door?

A: No. Ticket sales will not take place at the door. Typically this event sells out well in advance of the actual dance.  Students without a ticket will not be allowed to enter the dance.

Q: Can my student bring a date from another school?

A: No.  While we love that the kids in our community are all friends, this event is ONLY for 6th, 7th and 8th grade students currently enrolled at ET Booth, those 6th, 7th and 8th grade homeschooled students currently residing in the ET Booth District and/or 6th, 7th and 8th grade private school students currently residing in the ET Booth district.

Q: How many tickets can I buy?

A: We limit ticket purchases to 1 at a time. With a student body of over 1700, we want to give each student ample opportunity to buy their ticket if they wish to attend.  We do review the purchase log and will address multiple purchases by any individual.

Q: I heard there were kids from other schools at previous dances.

A: We disclose that this event is ONLY for our 6th, 7th and 8th grade students currently enrolled at ET Booth, those 6th, 7th and 8th grade homeschooled students currently residing in the ET Booth District and/or 6th, 7th and 8th grade private school students currently residing in the ET Booth district. If at any time during our event, it is brought to our attention that a student attending our dance does not meet that criteria, they will be escorted out of the dance.  They will remain with security while their parents are located to come pick them up. Refunds will NOT be given.

Q: What does my student’s dance ticket purchase include?

A: Ticket purchases include entry to the dance, DJ and photo booths.

Q: Will there be food available?

A:  We will have light refreshments available to purchase (i.e. chips, candy, drinks). Cash and credit/debit cards will be accepted. We encourage you to have your students eat dinner prior to arrival at the venue.

Q: How many chaperones will be at the dance?

A: This number varies every year.  We CAN NOT pull this off without our volunteers. The more the merrier! If you would like to be contacted about possible chaperone availability, feel free to email us your contact information and we will reach out with details. EtowahJuniorEaglesCheer@gmail.com.

Q: Can I stay at the dance with my student?

A: The only adults allowed to remain inside the venue will be our registered volunteers.  You are more than welcome to wait in the parking lot or stay close by.  Students will not be allowed to leave the dance early without a parent or guardian coming to the door to get them. Volunteers will not be responsible for tracking them down.  You can communicate with your student to meet you at the door and a volunteer will assist you there.

Q: Why not do separate dances for each grade level?

A: This is an Etowah Junior Cheer fundraiser.  Our program consists of all 3 grade levels. We strive to build a kinship with our athletes that will be playing beside each other for years to come.  This event is our way of recognizing our athletes for all their hard work. This event is planned months in advance and is done so completely by volunteers that take time away from their jobs, families and life to host a memorable event for all.  It is not feasible to put on separate dances for each grade level.

Q: Why does Etowah Junior Cheer need the dance to raise funds?

A: The homecoming dance is our biggest fundraiser for the year.  This event provides EJC with the legacy funds needed to start the next year’s program without debt. We greatly appreciate your support for our athletes and future Etowah Eagles!
